I also noticed that when I reconnected focusrite to the other computer, the other computer acknowledged a new device and seemed to spend a little time readjusting to its presence. I am a complete beginner with Cubase, so I could have skipped important steps or made some other beginner mistakes. It worked fine with the other recording program there. I looked on the old computer and I could find no supporting software for the focusrite.

I don’t know if this is because the default connection is not good for focusrite or if there is some other issue. Win10 64bit and Finale 25.4 has problem with Realtek ASIO drivers (not loading at all) and Yamaha Steinberg USB ASIO Driver (Steinberg UR242) which works, but takes very long time to load Finale, up to 30 sec on M.2 SSD drive. I played el guitar through the focusrite and it recorded in the new project. It seems to be related to the Ethernet adapter as well, since sometimes after. ASIO4all is designed for units that do not have native ASIO Device Drivers, like your computer's built in audio. The Focusrite Interfaces all come with a native device specific driver that includes both ASIO and WDM driver types. Hello, for a couple of weeks now I get a BSOD occasionally. We do not recommend using ASIO4all in your DAW for your Focusrite Interface. The applications are set to output to the respective virtual cables. For input sources I'm using the 2i2 (1) on WDM, Discord (2) from Virtual Cable-A on WDM and Spotify (3) on Virtual Cable-B on WDM. When using this combination, sound quickly degrades into crackling and poor audio.

I then opened a new project and clicked on el guitar and voice, just to see if I could record. Windows 10 BSOD since installing Focusrite device. I have a Focusrite 2i2 2nd gen with the latest driver.
When I followed the instructions from the included help manuel - starting with devices - I found no mention of focusrite and just used the default Asio. Cakewalk only uses the Focusrite (The Asus is greyed out as expected) I do not suffer BSODS - even when reducing buffer size. Both have their respective native ASIO drivers installed. For instance, I have an Asus Xonar DS PCI card and a Focusrite 2i2 2nd gen Audio interface. Hi, just installed Cubase and am hoping to use my Focusrite (Scarlet 2♂ seems to be the name) which I have had for a while and used on another computer with a different recording program. It would probably depend of the specific drivers and audio interface.
